The Barossa Valley has gained a reputation for Shiraz with intense fruity characters and strong palates. Wolf Blass Gold Label manages to balance these different flavours, enriched with French Oak Ð this results in a fine textured Shiraz that is frangrantly bright.
Barossa Shiraz is chosen due to itÕs intense smell of blueberries, Satsuma Plums, highlighted with star anise, spices and chicory root. With a palate that is elegantly rich and vibrant yet supporting a skilky texture this Shiraz will not disappoint.

VINEYARD REGION:ÊÊBarossa
VINTAGE CONDITIONS: ÊGood winter rains and an early burst of spring warmth resulted in healthy vines, with windy conditions during flowering reducing yields. The combination of low crops and mild conditions during ripening resulted in exceptional quality with bright, varietal fruit characters, great intensity of colour and excellent natural acidity the hallmarks of the vintage.
MATURATION:ÊÊ15 months maturation in seasoned and new French oak has enhanced structure and complexity.
PEAK DRINKING:ÊÊEnjoyable on release or will develop complex, integrated flavours with six to eight years careful cellaring.
