Ten Tuatara is a story of ten tuatara eggs that hatch and send ten tuatara scrambling for a place to hide. Nine of the tuatara find their own little hiding spot, but the last tuatara discovers that the comfy burrow he has found is already home to a bird. Will they be friends?

Michelle Osment is a New Zealand children's author and mother of four from New Plymouth. She has drawn and written poems since childhood and is known for her Perky the Pukeko series. Ten Tuatara is a sweet story of a young Tuatara’s encounter with a bird and is suitable for children at the junior and primary levels.
