On The Farm, Shearing - Lee Lamb

Its sheep shearing time!

Shearing sheep is a tough job, so the farmer needs all the help he can get from Jack and Tom the herding dogs. They work hard on a high country farm in New Zealand to get the sheep ready for shearing. Both Jack and Tom then watch as the farmer starts skilfully shearing the sheep.

Lee Lamb is a mother of two and a New Zealand children’s author who was raised on a high country station in the South Island’s Mackenzie Country. She has always loved working and living on a farm with animals. This is reflected in her ‘On the Farm’ series of children’s books, which give an insight into the lives of New Zealand farmers and their animals.
