VINTAGE CONDITIONS:ÊÊGood spring rainfall flowed by warm to hot conditions in January
allowed for an even ripening period, which resulted in very good quality grapes and wine. The prolonged warm, dry weather, with virtually no rain interruptions, allowed the fruit to reach optimum maturity, producing a wine with excellent colour and flavour.
MATURATION:ÊÊSelected parcels were matured with French oak.
PEAK DRINKING:ÊÊBest enjoyed while young and fresh.
FOOD MATCH:ÊGreat with a grilled steak sandwich with caramelised onions or beef
and mushroom Stroganoff.

NOSE:ÊÊA fruit-driven style with lifted aromas of blueberries, plums, warm spices and toasty
oak.
PALATE: ÊA medium bodied, juicy palate rich with the flavours of dark red berries, blackcurrants
and a hint of mint, supported by toasty oak and a smooth tannin finish.
